Shirt for Daddy
I made this a long time ago. Another Colette Negroni.
He actually wears it to work a lot!
And he has asked for another one, so I'll add it to the list.

Happy Birthday
To my biggest brother who plays the guitar.
A bit of nice fabric and a bit of cross stitch with fraying around the edge for old times sake. I think the last time I did cross stitch was about 20 years ago. Found pattern on etsy at this shop.
And Happy Birthday to my biggest niece.
It's a crayon roll.
Tutorial from Skip To My Lou. First experience with ric rac. Hardest part was deciding what order to put the colours in.

High input
Low output. There is some output though, don't worry :) I think my latest fabric haul will last quite a while though!

One step forward, two steps back
Somehow I managed to sew the skirt sides on the wrong sides and ended up with pockets in the middle. Can't believe I stuffed up such an easy skirt!

Bucket Hat for C
Little by little I have been doing some sewing. I usually forget to take photos but yesterday I remembered to take some pics before I packaged this gift up for Harry's cousin who turned 1.
Once again, I used the pattern from the Oliver + S Little Things to Sew book. I don't think I had any dramas with this one and it seemed to come together fairly quickly. I love the feel of the Heather Ross Guitar fabric and am looking forward to finding a project for the leftovers.
I wasn't game to let Harry model the hat so I asked his toy Tiger if he'd mind popping it on for a few minutes :)

Getting closer...
I cut out some fabric today, threaded the sewing machine and even turned the machine on! But then someone was hungry...oh well, maybe tomorrow?

Slowest Factory Worker Ever
I'm having a go at doing some assembly-line sewing. I'm making 4 more Sailboat Tops for some little girls. It is taking forever! Probably cause my total time sewing per week is about 1 hour.
Anyways, here is proof of progress and activity. Fingers crossed baby doesn't come early and I get them finished :)

Floral sailboat top
For a little girl I haven't made much for yet. This was my first attempt at the O + S sailboat top. I bought the material, traced the pattern and sewed all bar the buttons in one (daycare) day. So pretty quick for me! Bonus was that I managed to finally fluke getting the over locker tensions right and it actually looks nice now :) Put French seams down side seams just cause I felt like it.
Size 12-18 mths
Japanese cotton lawn from Spotlight. Only ended up using about 60cm.
More to come...

I am back!
I think I finally have the energy and a bit of time to sew again :)
A nice simple project to get back into it. Harry is starting one day a week at daycare next week. He is going with his little girlfriend who was born on the same day so I have made them both some bags to put their sheets in for nap time.
I'm looking forward to getting organised on Harry's daycare days and hopefully getting a lot of sewing done before his sibling arrives in just over 4 months, cause after that I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to sew again!
